In this scene, Cynda Williams character, Ronnie, has brought her paintings home as gifts for the family and displayed them on the couch for all to see.
In 2012, three of Michael Lowe's paintings (above) were featured at the Goodman Theater in Chicago, in Immediate Family, a new play by Paul Oakley Stovall, directed by Phylicia Rashad. All three paintings were sold to the show's producer. In 2015, Immediate Family will be remounted at the Mark Taper Forum in LA. The larger painting, "Lying By The Water," was also part of the 2010 Harold Washington College, Architectural and Design Exhibit in Chicago.
